Oceanarium Comes to the Gladys Porter Zoo

Saturday, September 12, 2008 Oceanarium opened at the Gladys Porter Zoo for a one day special event. Oceanarium provided lots of hands-on activities for students and their parents to have fun and learn.

This year Oceanarium will have a new look and feel. Avast ye maties, there be PIRATES! That's right, we will have a "pirates" theme along with a real treasure hunt for some cool prizes!

WalMart becomes the title sponsor for Oceanarium

USI Inc., president Alex Garcia announced major support for Oceanarium 2008 from WalMart Inc. "We have received an incredible amount of support and help from the wonderful people of WalMart. WalMart Market 274 stores will present a number of exciting hands-on activities for children and their parents at Oceanarium.
